Experience Portland
The city of Portland offers an endless supply of adventure and excitement. Our campus is only fifteen minutes from downtown. On weekends, you can hop on the MAX line to experience the Saturday Market, a huge collection of handmade crafts, art, and ethnic food.
Waterfront Park hosts the Rose Festival in late May, and many shops and restaurants overlook the Willamette River. The eclectic Hawthorne and Northwest Portland districts have unique shopping and restaurants.
Portland also is home to museums, concert venues, and the Trail Blazer basketball team. The coffee lover will revel in the thirty-two Starbuck's stores within five miles of campus!
In less than two hours from Multnomah, you can be digging your toes into Oregon's sandy beaches. Head to Lincoln City for a day of shopping at the outlet stores, or walk along the boardwalk. The Oregon coast offers whale watching, clam digging, fishing, and so much more!
Drive just an hour east of Portland and hit the slopes of Mt. Hood. Home to Timberline Lodge, Mt. Hood is a favorite for skiers and snowboarders throughout the world. The snow is great even in the summer!
If you're into windsurfing, the Columbia River Gorge and surfing hot spots are only a half-hour drive away. Located at the entrance of the Gorge, Multnomah Falls, at 620 feet, is the second highest year round waterfall in the country.
