Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU)
Multnomah Bible College and Seminary (of Multnomah University) has been accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) since 2005. NWCCU is a regional accrediting association of postsecondary institutions in the seven-state Northwest region of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. Regional accreditation is a voluntary, non-governmental, self-regulatory process of quality assurance and institutional improvement. It recognizes higher education institutions for performance, integrity, and quality to merit the confidence of the educational community and the public. NWCCU accreditation qualifies institutions and enrolled students for access to federal funds to support teaching, research, and student financial aid..
Association for Biblical Higher Education
Multnomah Bible College and Seminary (of Multnomah University) is accredited with the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE), formerly the Accrediting Association of Bible Colleges. The ABHE is the national accrediting association for evangelical colleges that include a substantial requirement for biblical instruction and student ministry requirements. The Council for Higher Education (CHEA), the national accrediting organization, approves the ABHE.
Association of Theological Schools
Multnomah Biblical Seminary (of Multnomah University) is accredited with the Association of Theological Schools. ATS is the nationally recognized accrediting association for theological schools whether Jewish, Protestant or Catholic. ATS is highly recognized and accredits schools in the U.S. and Canada.
Oregon Department of Degree Authorization
Multnomah Bible College and Seminary (of Multnomah University) is authorized to grant Bachelor's and Master's degrees by the State of Oregon, Office of Degree Authorization. This authorization was reaffirmed June 2003.
